An experiment

Intriguing stuff on tv tonight
First there was this American drama about teenagers
Nubile teen is drugged and the mother gets back together with her ex
and a guy
who looks like a chest of drawers with stubble
develops a drinking problem

Then a talent competition
Singing
Entertaining
Some people were bad
others were as bad but not ugly or awkward

Those ones got through

Then some politicians and experts were interviewed
about the future of the economy
The politicians said
“Things can be done”
The experts said
“Things haven’t been done”

No-one talked about the economy as far as I could tell

And now I’m tired

I’ve been on this sofa for four hours

Keep myself nice and quiet
And then sleep

Its not so bad really

The teen drama’s on again tomorrow night

The talent show isn’t on until next week
When it’ll be the same thing

The interview show will be on next week too
When they’ll be saying things
And not talking about whatever it is
